This week on the show, you’ll hear from a couple of the candidates running for the school board here in Columbia. In Tuesday’s election, voters will pick two of the four candidates, who will each serve three year terms.
Boone County and the City of Columbia are using a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to study storm-water runoff into Bear Creek, north of I-70. A task force will focus on reducing pollutants, which flow directly into the creek, untreated.
The two-hundredth anniversary of the New Madrid earthquake was recently. The Great Central U.S. Earthquake Consortium is not waiting around for it to happen again. The group is helping set up region-wide readiness programs.
