Boone County to Host Opioid Summit

Voices in health care, safety and education are coming together in a series of meetings throughout Missouri to tackle the opioid crisis. 

The meeting for mid-Missouri will take place in Columbia on Nov. 29. It will include remarks from Mayor Brian Treece and representatives from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Justice and multiple Missouri universities.

Speakers will discuss the state of opioids in Missouri and interventions to address the crisis.

Registration ends on Nov. 15 and is free to the public.
