COMO Connect Asks For Community Feedback

COMO Connect is encouraging residents to take an online survey before it closes in December. The survey is part of their Bus Service Evaluation Project, a 14-month long effort to meet the needs of the community through concepts like visioning sessions and online forums. Transit and Parking Manager Drew Brooks said the survey is looking for diverse perspectives in the community.

“We’re really trying to get as many different members of the community to gives us this information as possible. Not just folks who ride the bus, but people who might be interested in riding the bus, or maybe would even never ride the bus. We’d like to get their feedback on what they think it should look like,” Brooks said.

Brooks said the survey asks residents more broad and visioning type questions regarding the systems coverage of the city. Columbia resident Jamie Hennessey said she believes the transit system should cover more stops around the city.

“I like taking the bus when I need to, but I do wish they had more stops around campus so I could go more places,” Hennessey said.

The survey is available until Dec. 17 on the COMO Connect website as well as the project’s Facebook page. The system will analyze the results of the survey and send reports to the City Council sometime in March.
