Is democracy getting more difficult?

Watch the show and join the conversation on theIntersection website.

As the amount of news outlets, media coverage and campaign advertising has soared, we take up a simple question: Is all that extra information making it harder for voters like you to make a good decision when it's time to go to the polls? Our discussion also explores ways to better navigate the flood of election-related messaging, as well as some ideas for making election-related news coverage more useful for voters.

Panelists:

Dan Gillmor, director of the Knight Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship and author of the book “We the Media: Grassroots Journalism by the People, for the People”

Andrea Seabrook, former Congressional reporter and weekend host for NPR and founder of DecodeDC(joining the program by phone)

Rehman Tungekar is a former producer for KBIA, who left at the beginning of 2014.
