The scene at The Honky Tonk and Blues Jam

This week we head down to the Missouri River, hear a technology-centric essay about cell phones and celebrate Easter a few days early.

First up, we revisit a piece on Katfish Katy’s campground from last summer when I stumbled upon the weekly Honky Tonk and Blues Jam session which is starting up again the last Sunday of April.

Next up, when Kurt Wook’s cell phone was available for an upgrade, he found himself examining the complicated relationship he, and many of us, have with modern technology.

Columbia Parks and Recreationteamed up with a class of MU students to put on a flashlight Easter egg hunt last night at Stephens Lake Park. About 150 kids—and one bunny—came out for the hunt. KBIA’s Natalie Cheng brings us this audio postcard.
