New appointees to the University of Missouri Board of Curators were welcomed to their positions Wednesday morning.
Jefferson City lawyer Pam Henrickson was appointed to the board by Jay Nixon in 2011. The MU law school grad says she’s still learning a lot about the university.
Much of the session was focused on the eLearning iniative, something Henrickson agrees with.
“Well, obviously eLearning is the wave of the future and it’s the way we’re going to go. And being the mother of two recent college graduates I can certainly see the benefits in allowing students to take more courses.”
She says this setup would allow students to plan their own schedule instead of waiting for a course to be offered. Henrickson also says eLearning might help with funding issues because of its cost effectiveness.
