The next generation of nurses are learning how to use iPads on the job. Plus, we’ll have the latest statewide graduation rates.

 But first, the ‘Buddy Pack’ program at the Food Bank in Columbia is expanding as more children are in need of food. KBIA’s Daina Schnese reports.

Many doctors have started to use iPads as a way to gather information about their patients’ symptoms and present that information to their patients. In 2010, the Sinclair School of Nursing at MU started using iPads to enhance student learning. KBIA’s Kaveh Kaghazi tells us how the use of iPads is preparing students for real-life situations.

Missouri’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or DESE, released the latest statewide graduation rates today. DESE is also using a new formula to compute those rates. KBIA’s Nick Gass has the details.
