Welcome to another edition of Maplewood Barn Radio Theatre.

In keeping with our tradition of bringing you original adaptations of obscure stories, tonight, we present "Wanted: A Wife," by Carlotta M. Hardy.

It was first published in the "All-Story Weekly" in 1916. Our research on Ms. Hardy turned up virtually nothing. This is the only story we could find by her on the web, and there is no biographical information available.

Because this story has many of the same elements used by P.G. Wodehouse, there was some speculation on the Internet that he might have actually written this story under a pseudonym.

Whatever the author's origins might have been, it is a marvelous story. And so, we hope you enjoy our adaptation of "Wanted: A Wife."
