The Missouri Office of Administration had partnered with Western Governors University to offer Missouri state employees a five percent discount off tuition. WGU is the state’s only fully online, accredited university and has a tuition of about $6,000 a year. More than 50,000 full-time state employees will be eligible to receive the discount for up to four 6-month terms.
The Missouri Office of Administration’s spokesperson, Ryan Burns, said “from the state’s perspective, this new partnership with WGU Missouri will allow our state employees to earn a degree or continue their education while remaining an active part of our state workforce."
There are more than 50 degrees eligible toward the discount, including education, business, information technology, and health professions.
