A former University of Missouri tutor is claiming she took part in alleged academic fraud while working with the MU Athletic Department.

The Kansas City Star reports that Yolanda Kumar wrote a post on Facebook claiming she took and assisted entrance exams, completed entire courses and provided assistance with online assessments during the assessments. She says she was supported by “at least two academic coordinators for athletes in revenue-generating sports,” which means football and basketball.

Kumar said in the post that she self-reported on November 2nd and resigned from her position as a tutor on November 7th.

The MU athletic department issued a statement saying it had received the allegations and is conducting a review, and has informed the NCAA who is also involved in the matter. The department made no further comments, citing the ongoing investigation.
