Open season on frogs this weekend

And it’s time again to get out your frog net -- Missouri frogging season opens at sunset Saturday.

Missourians with a fishing permit can head out to ponds and creeks to capture bullfrogs and green frogs -- hand net, gig and throw line are all acceptable, as are snagging, snaring and gigging. 

For you children and seniors out there, permits aren't required for kids under 16 and adults over 65.

The daily frog limit is eight per person.
