In just a few days, we’ll find out whether Barack Obama or Mitt Romney will be leading the world’s most powerful country for the next four years.

While Americans are eager to leave the grueling political season behind, many in foreign countries are eager to hear the first hints about their biggest concern, foreign policy.

They certainly didn’t hear much during the campaign. The economy is driving and foreign concerns are in the back seat. Or perhaps more accurately, on the side of the road. But the world seems to be getting more volatile, and the United States cannot afford to stay disengaged from international disputes.

To help put the election in perspective, Global Journalist was joined by a panel of international journalists.

Panelists

Joseph Odindo, editorial director the Nation Media Group

Chidanand Rajghatta, foreign editor and US correspondent of The Times of India

Stephen Collinson, White House correspondent for Agence France Presse

Rehman Tungekar is a former producer for KBIA, who left at the beginning of 2014.
