St. Louis Rams owner and Columbia resident Stan Kroenke  says there’s no reason for him to comment right now on the likelihood the St. Louis Rams will remain in the city.

Kroenke announced Tuesday that new head coach Jeff Fisher had signed a deal that would keep him with the team for “a while,” though he was not specific. But he side-stepped the question of whether the Rams would remain in St. Louis for a while as well.

“There’s a team in place that deals with all that so we’ll see how that process sorts itself out," he said. "It’s a think that takes place over time.”

A clause in the Rams lease at the Edward Jones Dome allows the team to leave by 2015 if the city doesn’t make major upgrades. The city must present its proposal for those upgrades by February first.
