Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Barnett said he is concerned about rural schools in Kansas that can only afford to hold classes four days a week.

Segment 1: Former Kansas state senator Jim Barnett is throwing his hat back in the political arena.

In 2006, Jim Barnett wanted to be governor of Kansas, but lost the job to Kathleen Sebelius. Now, he's campaigning again for the highest office in the state, this time with a new running mate. Today, we learned how he feels about school finacing, medical marijuana legalization and found out why he picked his wife to be his running mate.

Up To Date's Film Critics kick off the summer movie season by telling us their favorite flicks showing on area screens, including a documentary about the late Fred Rogers, a heist thriller that blurs the lines between fiction and reality, and Paul Schrader's take on spiritual crisis.
