Still farming despite disability

Business Beat looks at economic and business news around mid-Missouri. Starting this week, we’re adding another voice into the mix. Harvest Public Media has this report on a farmer not letting anything stop him from working the land.     

It’s estimated that some 20 percent of the nation’s farmers are working the land with some type of physical disability. That compares with 6 percent of the overall workforce who are disabled. Harvest Public Media’s Rob Dillard takes us to a farm in central Iowa, where a long-time farmer is adjusting to a missing limb.
