Three people were killed when their car collided with a tractor-trailer truck in central Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred Thursday evening on Route B near St. Thomas in southern Cole County.
The victims were identified as 44-year-old William E. Coons; 58-year-old Wanda L. Coons, and 12-year-old Shadrach Rowden, all of Meta.
The patrol says a car driven by William Coons crossed the center line and struck a truck driven by 53-year-old John G. Birkner, of Coulterville, Ill.
Birkner was not seriously injured.
