MU’s Title IX mandated reporter training received negative feedback because of software and access issues. At the UM Board of Curators meeting, system president Tim Wolfe admitted there are problems with the training software.

He said the UM System needs to test things out more thoroughly before moving forward, “It wasn’t the best launch in our lives, but we did launch. We had some technical issues. We’ve apologized for that. I’ll apologize as well. In the essence of speed, we put out something that wasn’t ready for prime time. We have made the changes from a technology standpoint.”

He said the UM System will continue to work towards their goal changing culture and becoming a national model to ensure UM campuses are safe.

Wolfe said 80 percent of mandatory reporters have completed their online training. The new deadline to complete the training has been extended until March 31.
