Were a forensic expert’s opinions taken out of context in the reporting of the findings of Michael Brown’s autopsy? Nearly a week after publication, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch printed a clarification of Dr. Judy Melinek’s interpretation of the report.

FBI creates fake Seattle Times story

In 2007, FBI agents in Seattle created a dummy news story on a fake Seattle Times web page with malware embedded.  Agents then used MySpace to share it with a bomb-threat suspect -- identifying him, his computer's IP address and location.  This led to an arrest days later.

McKinney walks away from Sun-Times

Shortly after last week's taping, Dave McKinney announced his resignation from the Chicago Sun-Times.  After 19 years as a reporter there, McKinney left his post, saying he felt the paper would no longer protect the interests of reporters over its own business and political interests.
