The University of Missouri System chief of staff was announced today by President Tim Wolfe.
Zora Mulligan is currently the executive director for the Missouri Community College Association and will begin her position at the University of Missouri System chief of staff on October 20.
Chief Communications Officer John Fougere says the University of Missouri System is very happy to have Mulligan on board.
"We're very excited to have Zora Mulligan join the University of Missouri System as our chief of staff, which is a critical role in our system operations," Fougere says. "The chief of staff serves as a trusted advisor to the President and to our leadership staff and is also someone who is pivotal."
Mulligan says her position as executive director for MCCA gave her the experience and preparation she needed to become chief of staff.
“I've had the opportunity to work with higher education leaders all around the state as well as people in communities across the state to get a sense from them of what's important to them in terms of higher education opportunities, what the regional industry demands are, and what are the important things for students looking for access to higher education,” Mulligan says.
Besides her current position at MCCA, Mulligan has also served as assistant commissioner and general counsel for the Missouri Department of higher education.
