more weekend music in HD
Our digital-only second and third channels, KBIA2 and KBIA3, now give you more weekend program options!
KBIA2 — your hub for 18 more hours of classical music each weekday, and 24 more hours Saturday and Sunday — has become mid-Missouri's
exclusive home for Saturday opera, year-round, with
NPR's World of Opera and, when the new season begins in December, the
Metropolitan Opera.
And
KBIA2 has launched a lineup of
Sunday afternoon classical programs:
At noon, it's NPR's
From the Top, a weekly showcase of America's top young classical musicians, hosted by Christopher O'Riley.

An old favorite,
Saint Paul Sunday, an hour of captivating artistry and engaging conversation with Bill McGlaughlin, is back on the mid-Missouri airwaves Sundays at 1.
And
SymphonyCast, hosted by Brian Newhouse, is a full concert by a major American or European orchestra, every Sunday at 2 p.m.
KBIA3 has rolled out five new programs:

Saturdays at noon, we bring you
American Routes, a two-hour weekly excursion into American music, spanning eras and genres — roots rock and soul, blues and country, jazz, gospel and beyond.
Then at 2 each Saturday, it's
Sounds Eclectic, Nic Harcourt's leading-edge contemporary music show.

Sundays at noon, listen in for
World Cafe. From the people at XPN in Philadelphia who bring you XPoNential Radio, World Cafe is an eclectic blend of blues, rock, world, folk, and alternative country.
Following at 2 is
Conversations from the World Cafe, a compilation of some of the best in-studio discussions and performances from Philly.
At 3 on Sundays, stay tuned for
Sound Opinions. Two of the nation's most respected rock critics meet each week to interview artists, listen to performances, give the latest scoop in pop culture and review albums past and present.
And
World Cafe has joined KBIA3's weekday lineup for two hours at 4 p.m.!
