This week on the show, you’ll hear from a couple of the candidates running for the school board here in Columbia. In Tuesday’s election, voters will pick two of the four candidates, who will each serve three year terms.
This is KBIA’s special coverage of the race for Columbia’s second ward city council seat, which is up for grabs in the election on April 3rd. KBIA reporters caught up with all three of the candidates, and here are their stories:
Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul spoke at the University of Missouri today, two days before the state’s caucus. The visit comes as Paul trails the other Republican candidates by a significant margin in the delegate count.

Former Massachusetts Governor and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney rallied for support at a park in the St. Louis suburb of Kirkwood Tuesday.
Republican caucuses are underway in Missouri, as the process to select a presidential nominee continues, but the party's front-runner ignored his Republican rivals. Instead, he attacked President Barak Obama, blaming him for a high gasoline prices.
With a victory in Kansas under his belt, Republican Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum is looking to the next round of primary states. As Isabel Hohl reports from Cape Girardeau, that includes the battleground state of Missouri, where Santorum toured over the weekend.
Residents of Columbia will be voting on ballot measures that will fund future projects for Columbia Public Schools. The measures would help fund projects that will begin in 2014, and some residents feel that it’s the right time to look towards the future of Columbia Public Schools.
