Four-star basketball recruit Blake Harris announced Sunday he that he is “officially a tiger” after an official visit to the University of Missouri this weekend. Harris announced his decision to sign with the Tigers on Twitter, posting a photo in a Tigers uniform.

Harris was joined by Michael Porter Jr. and other five-star recruit Kevin Knox this weekend as the three toured campus. 

Porter Jr. Seeks Release from Washington, Talks of Interest in Missouri

Former Tolton Catholic High School basketball star — and the country's No. 1 player — Michael Porter Jr. said he has decided to ask out of his National Letter of Intent to play at Washington.

As a Huskies signee since November, he intended to ask out of his NLI from the school after former coach Lorenzo Romar was fired but will meet with new coach Mike Hopkins before formally requesting out.

He'll be a free agent to sign elsewhere when the late signing period opens April 12. 

MU Head Basketball Coach Kim Anderson to Step Down

Missouri will be in the market for a new basketball coach this spring.

In a news release Sunday, the school announced that Kim Anderson will step down as head coach at the end of the 2016-2017 season, through the request of Athletic Director Jim Sterk.

Former University of Missouri basketball player Jordan Clarkson was selected as the 46th overall pick in the NBA draft last night, and ended up with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Current Missouri men’s basketball coach and former Miami coach Frank Haith has been suspended for the first five regular season games of the season as penalty for his actions in the two year long Nevin Shapiro scandal.

On Tuesday, the NCAA handed out sanctions for its case against the University of Miami that involved former boosters and convicted felon Nevin Shapiro.

Haith will miss games against Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 8), Southern Illinois (Nov. 12), Hawaii (Nov. 16), Gardner-Webb (Nov. 23) and IUPUI (Nov. 25).
