$1.2 billion bonding measure for college campus projects gets Mo. House panel approval

The Missouri House Budget Committee has endorsed a proposed $1.2 billion state bonding proposal that could pay for projects on college campuses, state parks and state facilities.

The budget panel endorsed the revised bonding proposal Thursday after the full House voted to send the measure back to committee for some adjustments.

A long-sought proposal to extend University of Missouri worker benefits to same-sex domestic partners has been expanded to include committed couples of the opposite sex, as well as other unrelated dependent couples, such as roommates.
