A panel created by the Missouri House to review the state's transportation needs met Monday afternoon in Columbia.

A Missouri senator says he wants the full chamber to debate a measure allowing tolls on Interstate 70.

State Senator Bill Stouffer says Interstate 70 is 60 years old, making it the oldest interstate in the nation. But it was only built with an intended 20-year lifespan.

Missouri Department of Transportation Director Kevin Keith says making I-70 a toll road would allow for expansion of the interstate and would be a first for Missouri.
