Ag officials search for Missouri century farms

Agriculture officials want to recognize more Missouri farms that have been in the same family for at least 100 years.

More than 8,000 century farms have been honored since Missouri began the program in 1976 as part of the nation's bicentennial celebration.

The University of Missouri Extension says farms that have been in the same family since December 31st, 1913, can receive the distinction. Applications must be postmarked by May 15th.

Save your money, is the message to Missourians from Mo. Extension effort

A state and national campaign to encourage Missourians to save their money is wrapping up a month-long awareness campaign. America Saves started in 2001; it’s designed to help raise awareness about the importance of saving but this year Missouri Extension has dedicated a month to helping Missourians, in a camping called Missouri Saves.
