Boone County Voters Choose Commissioners for General Election

Boone County Voters chose candidates for district commissioner in Tuesday’s Primary Election.

The winners for both the Republican and Democratic parties won bysubstantial margins. On the Republican side, Fred Perry won the race for Associate Commissioner District 1 with 70 percent of the vote, while Brenndan Riddles took 67 percent of the vote for Associate Commissioner District 2.
 
Brianna Lennon, the Democratic winner for Associate Commissioner District 1, took nearly 40 percent of the vote in a highly contested primary against five other candidates. Janet M. Thompson ran unopposed for Associate Commissioner District 2.

The winners will face off in the November 8th general election.
