Columbia FAVS hosts walking tour of downtown churches [video]
This story was produced in partnership with Columbia Faith and Values.
About 30 people attended the first Downtown Church Walking tour tour, hosted by the Faith & Values desk, and thanks to their enthusiasm, we plan on holding more of these tours in the future – stay tuned for upcoming dates and venues. As editor of the site, it was amazing to see everyone come together to take in the beauty of these churches. It was as if I was seeing the details for the first time, as I watched through others' eyes.
The tour featured five churches: Missouri United Methodist Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, First Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Church and Calvary Episcopal Church. Future tours will likely include more locations, and I expect we'll hold our next one in the fall.

If you missed the tour, or if you attended and would like to reflect back on the experience, I encourage you to take 2 1/2 minutes and watch the video reporter Laura Davison put together, above – I couldn't stop smiling as I watched it.
Special thanks to Missouri United Methodist Church for opening Cornerstone Coffee Shop before the tour, First Presbyterian Church for providing water bottles and Calvary Episcopal Church for providing refreshments at the tour's end.
