Discovering a comet

If you go stargazing tonight, you just might see a faint little speck with a Missouri connection.

For millennia, astronomers have gazed up at the heavens, and pondered what exists beyond our own planet. Now, a Warrensburg resident may have advanced our collective knowledge of space.

The Bruenjes Comet was discovered by amateur astronomer Fred Bruenjes on Feb. 10. KBIA’s Lee Jian Chung spoke with Bruenjes about his discovery, and his passion for the stars.
