Glasgow is celebrating the 150th anniversary of their town's civil war battle with a weekend long reenactment.
The event will start Saturday morning at 10:30 with a parade and will end Sunday afternoon with a reenactment of the Battle of Herriford Hill. Event Organizer Megan Watts said that after two years of preparation, they are ready for Saturday morning.
"We are going to have field medical demonstrations, you'll be able to see the ladies in their gear. The battlements will be up and open for people to view. We will have artillery, which are cannons, we will have cavalry and we'll have our infantry fighting as wel," Watts said.
Watts said the potential for rain this weekend has made everybody's job more difficult. She says they are preparing for the worst by setting up awnings for events such as the Ladies Tea Saturday morning. They have also changed the location of the battlements to Stump Island Park.
