Missouri Democratic candidate for governor Chris Koster says he's raised more than $3.5 million in the last several months.
His campaign says he had $10 million to spend as of the start of July.
Friday is the deadline for candidates to report recent fundraising and spending. Reports will show how the gubernatorial candidates stack up in the weeks before a competitive four-way Republican primary Aug. 2.
Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon can't seek re-election because of term limits.
The GOP candidates are suburban St. Louis businessman John Brunner, ex-Navy SEAL officer Eric Greitens, former U.S. attorney and Missouri House speaker Catherine Hanaway and Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder.
Koster has been leading in fundraising. Reports filed in April showed he'd exceeded the combined fundraising total of all his Republican opponents.
