A former consultant for Republican gubernatorial candidate Eric Greitens is complying with a subpoena as part of an investigation involving Greitens' campaign and a charity he founded.
Michael Hafner appeared at the Missouri Ethics Commission office Thursday in Jefferson City in response to a subpoena. He says he is "complying fully with their investigation."
The Missouri Democratic Party chairman filed an ethics complaint against Greitens' campaign last month after The Associated Press reported that Hafner had access to a spreadsheet of donors to The Mission Continues charity while working for Greitens gubernatorial exploratory committee in early 2015.
The complaint says the list should have been reported as an in-kind contribution to Greitens' campaign.
Greitens campaign manager Austin Chambers says the Ethics Commission sent several pages of questions to the campaign.
