Missouri's Department of Transportation has added a page to its website where motorists can check for unscheduled bridge closings.

The agency says it created the page following a series of unexpected closures from collisions or safety issues identified in inspections. Chief Engineer Ed Hassinger says bridge closures likely will continue because of declining funds to fix aging bridges.
