Another St. Louis area police officer is out of a job over threats to Ferguson shooting protesters found online.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Glendale officer Matthew Pappert was fired Thursday over Facebook comments suggesting protesters of the shooting death of 18-year-old should be "put down like rabid dogs."

Pappert's comments included Facebook postings that the protesters were "a burden on society and a blight on the community." He had been suspended with pay since last week.

In St. Ann, police Lt. Ray Albers resigned Thursday in response to cellphone video that shows him pointing his rifle at demonstrators while threatening to kill a protester.

A St. Louis County police sergeant forced the officer to lower the weapon and escorted him away.
