May 3 is World Press Freedom Day. The annual celebration began with a proclamation by the United Nations General Assembly in 1993.
Global Journalist marked the event by examining press freedom around the world. Host David Reed also took a closer look at two regions where the most dramatic progress took place in the past 12 months: the Middle East and North Africa.
