FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — The St. Louis County chapter of the NAACP passed out Thanksgiving turkeys Thursday for those who lost jobs due to the rioting in Ferguson.

NAACP officials on Wednesday said they planned to distribute 200 turkeys yesterday afternoon from the St. Louis County NAACP headquarters on Natural Bridge Road. Recipients had to present a paycheck stub to show proof that they work at a business closed in Ferguson.

John Gaskin the Third of the NAACP says an anonymous donor paid for the turkeys.
