The Catholic Church is at a crossroads. Pope Benedict XVI surprised just about everyone this week by announcing his resignation. The leader of the world’s one billion Catholics held his final public mass on Wednesday, at the end of this month, he will become the first pope to resign in nearly 600 years.To find out what this means for the Catholic Church, Global Journalist spoke to two religion reporters, including a Vatican correspondent who’s written a biography of Pope Benedict.
