Illinois’ new medicinal marijuana law won’t change how prosecutors or police enforce marijuana laws in Missouri. Eric Zahnd is the Platte County prosecuting attorney and the president of the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys. He says anyone caught in Missouri with marijuana can be prosecuted for possession.
“I do not believe having a prescription for marijuana in Illinois permits someone to possess marijuana in the state of Missouri, but many of those folks who may possess valid prescriptions in Illinois may not know that,” Zhand said.
At least a half-dozen people are behind bars in the St. Louis area following a nationwide crackdown on the sale of designer narcotics known as "bath salts" or K2.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that Levi Coolley was on the team plane on four Tiger tournament trips from 2009 to 2011. Coolley also joined a team flight from Austin, Texas, in January and got complimentary tickets from Missouri players at nine games over two seasons.
Many Missouri hospitals are reporting shortages of necessary pharmaceutical drugs. The Missouri Hospital Association says such shortages are keeping hospitals from effectively delivering care in a safe and timely way to its patients.
